The women's and men's national teams will play demanding international matches as preparation for their next challenges.
After competing at the Santiago 2026 Qualifiers, both national teams have begun their preparation: Diablas and Diablos will represent Chile abroad against top-level opposition ahead of their international tournaments.
The road ahead for Las Diablas
The women’s team, coached by Cristóbal Rodríguez, sit in a historic 11th place in the FIH World Rankings. They will play the Nations Cup in New Zealand aiming to establish themselves among the best sides in the world.
The tournament, to be held in Auckland from 15 to 21 June, will bring together the emerging powers of world hockey. Las Diablas are in Pool B alongside the hosts, South Korea and France.
Before the Nations Cup, they will play friendlies against New Zealand (10th), the United States (12th) and India (9th in the world rankings). After the tournament, preparation turns to the World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands, from 15 to 30 August, with friendlies confirmed against India and England (6th).
Los Diablos’ tour
Los Diablos will tour Europe from 22 July to 6 August, based in the United Kingdom, where they will face Wales (16th) and Scotland (17th).
The aim of this preparation is to sharpen both teams ahead of the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026, sustaining the competitive growth of recent years.
