Head coach Cristóbal Rodríguez has named the 20 players who will represent Chile at the Nations Cup to be played in New Zealand.
The squad was finalised ahead of the tournament, which runs from 15 to 21 June in Auckland: five of the players called up are based at clubs in Spain and Germany, and Manuela Urroz will wear the captain’s armband.
The champions earn a place in the next edition of the Pro League, the most important national-team circuit in the world. Las Diablas, 11th in the world rankings, are in Pool B.
“We are mentally ready for every tournament that lies ahead,” said captain Manuela Urroz, who described the schedule as “challenging” and stressed the team’s total focus.
