Chile reached the semi-finals after an excellent pool stage and lost the bronze-medal match to the United States. Fernanda Arrieta finished as the team's top scorer with four goals.
Las Diablas closed out their FIH Nations Cup Auckland 2026 campaign in fourth place, after reaching the semi-finals as Pool B runners-up and losing the bronze-medal match 3-2 to the United States.
Cristóbal Rodríguez’s side opened the tournament with a 2-0 win over France, through goals from Manuela Urroz and Fernanda Arrieta. They then lost 2-3 in a tight game against hosts New Zealand and sealed their semi-final place with a 2-2 draw against South Korea, with a brace from Arrieta.
In the semi-finals, India — who would go on to take the title and promotion to the Pro League after beating New Zealand 2-0 in the final — saw off Chile 6-0. In the third-place play-off, Las Diablas lost 3-2 to the United States despite goals from Arrieta and María Jesús Maldonado.

Fourth place among the tournament’s eight teams leaves the side focused on their next big challenge: the World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands, from 15 to 30 August, where Chile are in Pool A alongside the Netherlands, Japan and Australia.
